Google Earth 4 beta's integration with SketchUp also opens the door to myriad creative and educational possibilities. It could allow historians to build, say, a virtual model of San Francisco before the 1906 earthquake or enable environmentalists to create a futuristic, green city. We explored the features in a more irreverent way, by grabbing another user's 3D picture of a PC monitor from 3D Warehouse, then opening it onto a rooftop in Boulder, Colorado.
