Every year at CNET Car Tech, we have to adjust our expectations about the cars we review, as new models up the ante for cabin tech and advanced powertrains. A couple of years ago, we thought the live traffic feature on the Acura RL was as good as it gets, but now we've seen live traffic in both a BMW 535i and a Cadillac CTS that blows away the Acura RL's. So once again, we look back at the past year's cars and decide which is the Tech Car of the Year. And this year, our Car Tech Awards include such categories as the coolest new technology, the most tech money can buy, and the best tech to update your beater.
