"In order for the theater to make a real impact, we decided that it should be sunken below the floor of the basement," Pete Fenel explains. Per the Fenels' request, the building crew went back in and dug out the room even further. "The new 12-foot ceilings gave us plenty of room to create a dramatic three-tiered seating layout," says Clinton Howell of Howell & Associates of Burlington, Ontario.
