I have an iRiver player (U10), and someone suggested that I upgrade the firmware. How do I do this, and is it necessary?

on your player is an easy and free way to improve your player. Companies such as iRiver, Apple, and so on periodically release new firmware that adds features, improves performance, or addresses system bugs. To upgrade your U10, go to the U10 firmware page on iRiver's Web site
