In most cases, updating the firmware (or software) on your player is an easy and free way to improve your player. Companies such as iRiver, Apple, and so on periodically release new firmware that adds features, improves performance, or addresses system bugs. To upgrade your U10, go to the U10 firmware page on iRiver's Web site. You can also check out CNET Music Center's "How to update firmware on your MP3 player."
