I'm looking to buy my first PDA, and I'd like to be able to connect it to the Mac I have at home (for MP3 music files) and my PC at work (for Outlook). Do you have any suggestions?

| | Currently, the only PDAs that sync with Mac and Windows
computers right out of the box are Palm devices. However, that doesn't mean you're limited to just those handhelds. Windows Mobile handhelds (or Pocket PCs as they're sometimes called) also work with both systems; however, you'll need to purchase third-party software for them to work with a Mac. There are several apps that do this, including Mark/Space's Missing Sync for Windows Mobile
, and will run you about $30 to $40. You can also read more about the differences between the two operating systems in our handheld OS quick guide
