This is a subjective take on its compatibility with software and music services we personally like to use.

As a Mac user, I was disappointed to be left in the dark by Toshiba. But if I did have an XP machine, I'd take serious advantage of its subscription compatibility services. |

It works with what I use for music: a Windows XP machine and subscription WMA music services. Now, if only I had a Media Center PC. |

It's Windows XP only, but if you have a Media Center PC, you can feed the Gigabeat beast with fresh video content, plus subscription and Vongo (but no native DivX and OGG, as expected prelaunch). |

With the iTunes library growing every day, what else is there to say other than Desperate Housewives!!! |

Nice that it works with both Mac and PC, but I've had quite enough of the iTunes goliath, thank you very much. |

No subscription but lots of audio and video content nevertheless. The iPod does play lossless, Audible, and uncompressed files. |
