Round 1: Sexiness
Hot or not?
Design and looks count for a lot when you're shopping for a smart phone, so here's where we examine the look, size, feel, and sex appeal of the devices. Our individual judge's ratings are based on a 0- to 5-point scale, which results in a final score of 0 to 15 per round.

Not only is the BlackJack thinner than the 8800, its soft-touch finish and lightweight form factor certainly makes this sexier than the 8800. |

I realize I'll get some flak for this but I just haven't fallen for the BlackJack's looks. Yes, it's thin and light for a smart phone but I don't consider those reasons enough alone to win the prize for being the sexiest. To me, it's just boxy and boring. |

Samsung definitely has the winning hand (har, har) with the BlackJack. Sure, it's blockier than the BlackBerry 8800, but the slim body and soft-touch finish win me over. |

While I like the sleek, glossy black of the 8800's exterior, it just doesn't win out when compared to the BlackJack's slender figure. |

The BlackJack may get all the glory, but I'm partial to the BlackBerry 8800's looks. I love the silver accents and the rounded edges, and the display's a bit more appealing. And I don't mind at all that it has a heftier profile. |

I have to admit, I was momentarily mesmerized by the BlackBerry 8800's polished look and rounded edges, but in the end, I wasn't taken by the wider body. |
