Motorola rolls out more Razrs

By Kent German (April 5, 2006)

Motorola is doing all it can to ride the wave from the phenomenal success of its Razr phone. At the CTIA show in Las Vegas yesterday, the company announced a handful of new superslim models. The Razr V3m builds on the EV-DO Razr V3c but adds a few extra features, including a TransFlash card slot, stereo headphone support, and capability for location-based services. Motorola also introduced three new versions of the Razr V3i. In addition to silver, you'll be able to get the phone in dark blue, maroon, and violet. Features are very similar to those of the original V3i, except that iTunes is replaced by a generic Motorola music player and the browser uses the cool Screen3 technology first seen in the Moto V557.

Like Nokia, Motorola also stayed largely CDMA-centric for this year's show. The company rolled out the W315 and the C290; both are basic phones without cameras, Bluetooth, or any entertainment options. The C290 is now available for Sprint, while the W315 should be sold by the third quarter of this year.
