This THX Ultra2-certified A/V receiver has 10 170-watt amplifiers for 22 channels of sound, meaning that it can power speakers in four rooms, and not just basic pairs of bookshelf speakers, but 5.1 or 7.1 surround-sound systems. On the video side, the Denon is ready for HD, with five 1080p-compatible HDMI jacks for your HD-DVD or Blu-ray player, HDTV tuner, and so on. The receiver can network to your PC, too, so that you can play your library of MP3s through your home-theater speakers. Of course, there's a price to pay for all that excellent functionality--$7,000, to be exact--but what wouldn't you spend to be on your way to A/V Camelot?
