Depending on whether you think the p in 1080p stands for progressive, preposterous, or princely, Panasonic's forthcoming 103-inch plasma may be the television for you. At 89 inches wide and 50 inches high, it's about the size of a queen mattress and weighs a floor-groaning 710 pounds. This behemoth offers 1,920x1,080-pixel resolution, a 16:9 image ratio, and a 4,000:1 contrast ratio. The TH-103PZ600 is already available in Japan, and it's expected in the States in December or early 2007 for an estimated $70,000. So, if you just eschew that new BMW, you can have the ultimate HDTV bragging rights.
