The third game in the explosive Battlefield series takes the action to the next century, with all the trimmings of near-futuristic, high-tech warfare. After an Ice Age forces the world's population toward the equator, battles erupt between two factions. The biggest game advancements involve customizable vehicles and soldiers, and a Titan mode that creates an entirely new strategy for multiplayer gamers to master. The game also features a whopping 40 different weapons and pieces of equipment that are unlockable, raising the replay value.

Epic, historical battles are the highlight of this highly realistic, real-time strategy reenactment of World War II. The massive amount of content will keep gamers busy for long hours as they command Allied troops from the beaches of Normandy into the heart of France to crush the Nazi occupation. You'll need a powerful PC to run the game well, and the gameplay can be extremely difficult at times. However, the impressive graphics and exciting gameplay should appeal to a wide variety of gamers who might not normally like the RTS genre.

The anthropomorphic dog in detective's clothes and the "hyperkinetic rabbity thing" were born from the pen of comic-book artist Steve Purcell in the 1980s, and they became gaming cult heroes with the release of LucasArts' Sam & Max Hit the Road in 1993. Adventure fans have been craving a sequel for the freelance police duo ever since. Telltale Games, an upstart developer featuring some of the crew behind LucasArts' classic adventure games, has worked with Purcell to create a new, unique, episodic series of adventures for the wacky pair. The first episode, Culture Shock, hits retail shelves on November 1.
