Updated October 26, 2005 What good is a dependable router and wireless network if you can't get your desktop or notebook connected? These are some of the best 802.11g adapters--PC card and USB formats--that have come through our Labs. USB adapters are a great choice for a desktop if you don't like the idea of mucking around in your PC's innards to install an internal adapter. | Review summary | Hawking's HWC54D grabs onto a weak network signal and squeezes as much data out of it as possible. | The Netgear WG111 is one of the best all-around wireless USB adapters we've seen. | The WPC54GS offers a decent bang for the buck and is an excellent choice if you plan to use it with other Linksys SpeedBooster products. | The WG511T is a good choice for speed demons and those looking for a long-range PC Card adapter. |
