Network your storage: basic NAS drives
Your growing business has greater needs, including storage. A network-attached storage drive is a simple way to increase shared data storage in the office. The simplest NAS devices are hard drives with an Ethernet port; just pop one on your network, and you're good to go. Some even have USB ports, so you can connect additional hard drives for even more storage. And most NAS drives will let you set permission levels so that only those who need to know will be in the know.

Review summary The NetCenter NAS drive is a solid SOHO shared storage drive at a fair price, making it a good choice for the average user. Consumer NAS drives don't get classier or easier than the Maxtor Shared Storage Plus, but we'd like to see Gigabit Ethernet on it. If your computer's hard drive is choking on all that the Internet has to offer, Ximeta's NetDisk can be a place to stash it all quickly and easily. Buffalo's LinkStation is the best low-cost solution for adding storage and a print server to a home or small-business network. This is one of the cheapest--and we use that word loosely--ways to get tons of extra network storage and a Wi-Fi access point.
