Motorola packs a punch with its CTIA handsets
By Kent German (March 11, 2005)

Just weeks after the company introduced three design-centric cell phones (including a variation of the popular Razr V3), Motorola announced it will show 10 new mobiles at the 2005 CTIA show. Offering a broad range of styles and features, the handsets include everything from 3G support to megapixel cameras. The 3G-capable V1150 boasts two cameras, Bluetooth, and an MP3 player, all of which are packed into a sleek, black form factor similar to that of the Razr. The V1050 is another 3G handset, while the SLVRcam V280 is a candy-bar version of the famous Razr. The company also makes a brash entry into the push-to-talk market with five such mobiles and ramps up its lineup of three models that support EDGE and GPRS networks. But casual callers need not worry; the simple and functional V186 forsakes a camera but includes such useful offerings as a speakerphone.
