Audiovox rounds out its CDMA lineup

If there's a consistent theme at this year's CTIA in New Orleans, it's that handset makers are shoring up their commitments to CDMA customers. First, Nokia announced several CDMA phones, and now Audiovox has come out with four CDMA phones to complete its lineup of mobiles for the North American market. Audiovox's CDM-7000 series consists of three trimode (CDMA 800/1900; AMPS 800) models: the CDM-7000, the CDM-7100, and the CDM-7200. The CDM-7000 is a basic flip phone with a single-color display, a speakerphone, and voice-activated dialing. The midrange CDM-7100 boasts dual-color displays and support for text and multimedia messaging in addition to the voice features found in its less fancy sibling. The CDM-7200 has all of the features of the other two models but adds a little more pizzazz by including a VGA camera with a flash and an optical zoom. Finally, the higher-end CDM-9200 tops the totem pole, sporting a flashier style, a CMOS VGA camera, and a whopping 128MB of NOR and 64MB of SRAM memory.
