At CES 2006, we saw a demo of WMP 11, which boasts a cleaner and more logical design as well as snappier performance. Check out screenshots from the latest build of WMP 11 for Vista. Microsoft plans to release a Windows XP version as well, probably sooner than the Vista version.

The photo library
Again, photos show up as thumbnails and can be organized by folder or date and into playlists. Notice the top menu items (Now Playing, Library, and so on); in a convenient use of space, each item has a smaller button that opens up more options.
