Upgrade your Windows interface without buying a new OS

Don't have the cash for the new OS? Or maybe you're wary of XP's new activation feature? Or perhaps you're perfectly happy with Windows 98 or Me but want to give your PC a new attitude?
We've assembled a grab bag of tricks, tips, and software to make your Windows 98 or Me machine look like, act like, and, to some extent, work like the real XP. Of course, these extras alter only small portions of your OS. You could tweak Windows 98 or Me from now until New Year's and still not have an OS as stable as Windows XP or, for that matter, 2000.
