reflective display 
A type of LCD screen that uses a reflective surface instead of backlighting to illuminate the display. These screens use little power and are good for use in sunlight or in bright indoor lighting but not so great for low-light situations. They are most often built into PDAs but are also found in a few notebooks that are designed for outdoor use.
