Cabinet format 
A compressed file format developed by Microsoft and used in many of the company's applications. A cabinet is a file that holds a group of compressed files. For instance, Microsoft uses cabinets to distribute its software quickly and efficiently; when the user installs the application, the files in the cabinet are decompressed.
