SHTTP
Secure Hypertext Transfer Protocol
This protocol is an extension to HTTP that enables data to be sent securely across the Internet. SHTTP provides security to individual files or e-mail messages by use of encryption or digital certificates. Another common Internet protocol, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), provides a secure connection between two computers. Many servers and browsers support both standards.
