Integrated Services Digital Network
A high-speed data transmission technology for sending voice, video, and data over digital or normal copper telephone lines. ISDN supports data transfer rates of 64 kilobits per second. This technology has been succeeded by newer broadband technologies such as cable modems, DSL, and wireless networking.
