DVD entertainment
Every parent who has hauled children more than 20 minutes in a moving vehicle understands the value of the DVD movie player. Chevrolet even produced a Warner Bros. edition of its minivan, complete with the Road Runner logo, to spur sales. Now some luxury cars offer DVD audio with 5.1 surround sound, and a few have video playback in the navigation screen for use when the car is safely parked. The upside for DVD audio is crystal-clear sound, but the downside is that the expensive discs are not compatible with all DVD players. You would think the music industry would get it by now.
