On many new cars, struggling for a key or a remote door-lock control is a thing of the past. With the fob-size transmitter in a driver's pocket or purse, the vehicle becomes a trusted companion, unlocking its doors or trunk at the slightest touch and getting underway at the push of a button. But when you point out the big, round, race-car-inspired starter button to a senior and rave about its technology, don't be surprised at their reaction.
