Four consumer digicams coming from Olympus
By Aimee Baldridge and Lori Gruinin, digital doyennesIn addition to the Stylus Digital 300 and 400 announced at the Consumer Electronics Show in January, Olympus plans to add four other models this spring across its consumer line. The entry-level D series gets two new members--the D-390 and the D-560Z--both with more compact bodies than those of the models they're replacing (just subtract 10 from each of the product names). Zoom-happy snapshooters will welcome two new models in the Ultra Zoom line, which offers the signature 10X zoom lens first introduced on the C-70 Ultra Zoom. Both the C-740 and C-750 Ultra Zoom cameras sport a new extra-low dispersion (ED) lens and use a more compact body than the earlier model.
