The good: Redesigned home page loads 20 percent faster than before; fast dial-up access; MSN.com portal offers free content to anyone on the Net; MSN Music organizes more than 300,000 online stations. 
The bad: Mac users can't connect; limited DSL availability; non-Microsoft browsers originally couldn't display the MSN portal properly. 
The bottom line: As a dial-up ISP, MSN 7.0 is among the best, and both casual and regular surfers will appreciate its stellar Web services. But you'll need to bow to Microsoft and use its browser to access the free content.
