Review summary |
Boingo makes up for its comparatively slow connection speeds with almost nationwide coverage and simple pricing schemes.

Boingo Wireless differs from its competitors in that it forces you to install its proprietary software before you can get online. On the plus side, the Boingo Wireless utility comes with an excellent sniffer application that tirelessly searches for wireless networks, which can make getting online easier. But unfortunately, the software works only with Windows 98 Second Edition or later and select Pocket PC handhelds. Boingo also delivers comparatively slow connection speeds and costs more than its competitors. Still, if you're a business traveler and crisscross the country or globe regularly, you'll appreciate its nationwide and global locations.
