One World Hosting has a lot going for it: free SSL so that your visitors can enter credit card numbers and other data securely, FrontPage 2002 extensions; large POP-mailbox and monthly data-transfer allowances; and around-the-clock, toll-free technical support. But it also has some problems. We experienced e-mail downtime shortly after signing up, and during the first few weeks of service, server-response benchmark tests revealed that One World serves pages more slowly than average. This should not deter owners of modest-sized businesses with small HTML pages and few graphics, especially those that need the extra mailboxes that One World provides. However, sites that offer large downloads or flash animation will feel the burn and should go with OLM.net instead.
