EDITORS' RECAP
We expected a little more out of the Panasonic GU87, but it was thoroughly drubbed by the LG VX6000, which showed picture-perfect precision in dismantling the GU87's zone defense. Up next for the LG: the high-octane Samsung i500.
THE FANS SOUND OFF:
• As an owner for six months of the VX6000, I can say it's a great phone: works when it should, with no surprises or dropped calls. Plus, the scrolling screen is very bling bling! • The price made the difference. The GU87 is like a expensive ball player whose talents will diminish with time! • It's a no-brainer: the VX6000. The 6000 has everything going for it, while the Panasonic has nothing. • LG VX6000 wins for that quality feel, backed up with real performance. • Since the VX6000 was the first camera-enabled phone with Get It Now service, it's a favorite. The LG has a clean interface and a solid camera feature, and it will definitely win. • I'll have to give the nod to the LG, although it's a close call. • What? Panasonic makes cell phones? Gimme a break, the LG VX6000 will kill 'em. • The LG is one of the best complete packages out there. There are quality skills underneath the flash.--Alex, Albany • The Panasonic doesn't even have an active flip, it has terrible battery life and reception, and it's just plain huge. The LG wins my vote here, no contest!
