You got your Wi-Fi in my flash memory!
Posted by: Will Greenwald

Wi-Fi SD cards are nothing new, but Eye-Film may be the first one we've seen that can actually fit inside a camera. Made by Eye-Fi, the 1GB SD memory card has built-in 802.11g. Most important, it's actually the size of an SD card, which means it can fit inside a camera or a PDA with no antenna sticking out. Several digital cameras and most modern PDAs have some sort of integrated Wi-Fi support, so the exact market for the Eye-Film is uncertain. Portable electronics makers might produce firmware upgrades to allow non-Wi-Fi cameras and other gizmos to use Eye-Film, but we'll have to see how it develops. Eye-Fi hasn't announced pricing or availability.
