How about a laptop to complement your new Hummer H3? The semirugged Hummer Laptop from Itronix is designed to withstand accidental drops, excessive vibration, and extreme temperatures; the spill-resistant keyboard means you can type right through any Starbucks mishaps. Under the hood are a 1.86GHz Pentium M processor, 512MB RAM, and an 80GB removable hard disk drive. With a promised battery life of four hours, the Hummer Laptop looks set to surpass its automotive namesake when it comes to fuel efficiency.

With an integrated cellular modem and optional GPS, the laptop will never be out of touch or off the map. Get ready to open up your Hummer wallet, though: the Hummer Laptop costs $2,988.

To find out if it's worth the cost, we were eager to take the Hummer Laptop out and rough it up a bit. Alas, we'll have to wait until November for a review unit. Expect a full review then; meanwhile, check out the story at CNET News.com.
