Today's Buzz
We were expecting to hear about cool new things next week for sure, but Samsung got the jump on us by developing a new chipset that allows phones and other gadgets to receive over-the-air digital TV! Now you can be a couch potato wherever you are.

Movie download sites compared--Craig
Here's an interesting article comparing movie download sites. They rated Amazon's Unbox their editors choice. Maybe it's improved its behavior since Tom tried it....
Movie only, so they didn't include Itunes.

Strawberry Day--Joseph
Slightly north of Boston, just off I-93 in Woburn, MA, is a huge industrial plant with a General Foods logo. Roll down the window, and it becomes blissfully clear that this is a Jell-O factory! I really don't want to see what goes on in there, but it is a joy to drive by--especially on Strawberry Day. :D

PSP Rumors--Nav, Toronto (navsimpson on the forums)
You know, the kind that make you put your fingers together like Mr.Burns and say "Innnnteresting"... Anyhoo, the combination of this rumor, where Samsung may have let slip that it is supplying Sony with a 60GB HDD for a device that sure looks like a PSP, coupled with this very insightful prediction from PSP Fanboy, who suggest it's not the PSP that's getting the HDD, but instead, a new "Playstation Walkman" that's based on the PSP but doesn't play games, is pretty darn innnnteresting, albeit entirely speculative.

Still, you have to admit if Sony did this, they could potentially create a device that played audio and video, did photos, used Wi-Fi to download RSS audio/video feeds to the device, and would be able to purchase content directly through the PSP-derived browser. Now, we've all had reason to jump on Sony lately, but if that's not cool, I dunno what is. As long as it was smaller than a PSP and had decent battery life...sign me up! All the best guys.
