The Bottom Line Apple Safari RSS, the default Mac OS X browser, beats Opera, Firefox, and Internet Explorer as the best Web browser for Mac users. If you're only after speed, try Safari but keep your other browser, too. Try Camino if you crave advanced settings. If only for the speed, lightness of being, and security alone, Firefox remains our Editors' Choice for best Internet browser. Firefox's tabbed browsing, RSS support, security features, and overall cool factor make it more attractive than Internet Explorer. We like Netscape 8's customization features and its emphasis on security; however, we wish this new version included the native RSS support found in Apple Safari RSS.
