Samsung SyncMaster T220
  • Editors' rating: 3h stars
      Overall score: 7.0 (3.5 stars)
  • User rating: 4 stars out of 14 reviews
Samsung SyncMaster T220 Reviewed on 05/12/2008

The Bottom Line: The Samsung T220 might be the most stylish LCD monitor we've seen, but average feature set and performance diminish its overall appeal. Despite its flashy looks, it's best used as a simple, productivity display.

Specs: LCD display / TFT active matrix, 22 in - Widescreen, 1680 x 1050 / 60 Hz, 0.282 mm, 2 ms

Envision G2219W1
  • Editors' rating: 3 stars
      Overall score: 6.0 (3.0 stars)
Envision G2219W1 Reviewed on 05/08/2008

The Bottom Line: The 22-inch Envision G2219w1 performed well in movie playback, games, and normal office use. Its color reproduction leaves something to be desired, however, and while it is aggressively priced, we'd recommend shelling out a bit more for a 22-inch LCD from Dell.

Specs: LCD display / TFT active matrix, 22 in - Widescreen, 1680 x 1050 / 60 Hz, 0.277 mm, 5 ms

Dell Crystal - 22 inches (wide screen)

      Overall score: 6.6 (3.0 stars)
  • User rating: 2h stars out of 4 reviews
Dell Crystal - 22 inches (wide screen) Reviewed on 05/02/2008

The Bottom Line: For boardrooms and public spaces in need of a LCD conversation piece, the Dell Crystal might find a home. For those not operating on a bloated corporate budget, however, there are plenty of other 22-inch LCDs that cost a fraction of the cost.

Specs: Flat panel display / TFT active matrix, 22 in - Widescreen, 1680 x 1050 / 60 Hz, 0.282 mm, 2 ms

Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP Editors' choice Reviewed on 04/17/2008

The Bottom Line: The 24-inch Dell UltraSharp 2408WFP display delivers across the board in performance, design, and features. It excelled with movies and games, making it not only an excellent choice as an entertainment display, but also great for everyday Windows tasks.

Specs: LCD display / TFT active matrix, 24 in - Widescreen, 1920 x 1200, Silver, 0.27 mm, 6 ms

Samsung 2232GW

      Overall score: 7.6 (3.5 stars)
  • User rating: 4 stars out of 4 reviews
Samsung 2232GW Reviewed on 04/04/2008

The Bottom Line: The Samsung 2232GW delivers where it counts with excellent image quality, but Dell has a 22-inch LCD that delivers the same level of performance and more features for less money.

Gateway FHD2400 (24-inch)
  • Editors' rating: 2h stars
      Overall score: 5.7 (2.5 stars)
  • User rating: 3 stars out of 7 reviews
Gateway FHD2400 (24-inch) Reviewed on 03/25/2008

The Bottom Line: Although this 24-inch LCD delivers with an abundance of features and a sleek design, the Gateway FHD2400 stumbled in the labs. No single performance problem is a deal breaker, but there are enough of them to prevent a stronger recommendation.

Specs: LCD display / TFT active matrix, 24 in - Widescreen, 1920 x 1200 / 60 Hz, 0.27 mm, 3 ms

Samsung SyncMaster 940UX
  • Editors' rating: 3 stars
      Overall score: 6.4 (3.0 stars)
Samsung SyncMaster 940UX Reviewed on 12/19/2007

The Bottom Line: While its ability to connect to your PC via USB makes the Samsung SyncMaster 940UX a convenient second monitor, LG has a cheaper and larger DisplayLink model that also boasts better overall performance.

Specs: LCD display / TFT active matrix, 19 in, 1280 x 1024 / 75 Hz, Silver, 0.294 mm, 5 ms

LG Flatron L206WU
  • Editors' rating: 3 stars
      Overall score: 6.8 (3.0 stars)
LG Flatron L206WU Reviewed on 12/10/2007

The Bottom Line: For its intended use--as a second productivity monitor--the LG L206WU is a smart choice for its unique USB connectivity despite its narrow viewing angle.

Specs: LCD display / TFT active matrix, 20 in - Widescreen, 1680 x 1050 / 75 Hz, 0.258 mm, 2 ms

Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP-HC (24-inch)
  • Editors' rating: 4 stars
      Overall score: 8.2 (4.0 stars)
Dell UltraSharp 2407WFP-HC (24-inch) Reviewed on 10/17/2007

The Bottom Line: Dell's UltraSharp 2407WFP-HC widescreen monitor gives you tons of input flexibility, strong moving image quality, and a handful of other features that will endear you to it as a digital entertainment display. It's not as strong as we'd like with static images, however, making this display not as well suited to demanding image and graphics professionals.

Specs: LCD display / TFT active matrix, 24 in - Widescreen, 1920 x 1200 / 60 Hz, 0.27 mm, 6 ms
