The Bottom Line: While the bulky MVP handset isn't our favorite, the actual Mobile ESPN service--jammed with news, stats, real-time scores, and videos--is sure to thrill road warriors with a fever for sports.

The Bottom Line: Like GoToMyPC, PCNow offers powerful remote-access features, plus some extra capabilities for a low monthly subscription, but LogMeIn is free and a better choice for telecommuters.

The Bottom Line: LapLink Everywhere makes sense if you need only Outlook or Outlook Express. To run all of your apps remotely, buy the twice-as-pricey GoToMyPC.
