Pros: Awesome screen, light weight, very good speakers.
Cons: Price a little high, it gets too hot.

Pros: Beautiful design, light and thin for a 17", etc.
Cons: Gets so hot I'm afraid it's going to melt, a $399 Athlon 2200+ discount PC is faster in Photoshop, ridiculously expensive for the quality and processing power you get.

"quite a platform in a laptop, for now"
Pros: The usual. Rock solid and speedy enough OS, nice big screen, nice peripherals, etc., etc. Works for me for now, but some really gnarly musical applications such as home-made synths really do chew up the older generation G4 1gig and freeze up the machine
Cons: We all know that Macs run faster on slower Mhz...it's an undisputable given. But 64 bit processors in the 4-6 gig range for windoze laptops are on the horizon, and Apple needs to get with the program, pronto, and get a top flight g5 in the powerbook line
