Pros high speed internet
Cons very pricey, poor followup service,no refund for service down time unless one complains more than twice about the same problem
Summary Had comcast service for 5 years with many service interruptions due to faulty line equipment and poor service installation.
No quality control or service inquiry and recognition of service problems unless customer visits comcast in person and complains to management.
More than three times I was forced to call regarding same problem with a faulty signal splitter installed on outside line without proper weather shieding.
No refund for down time.
I advise anyone wishing to purchase High speed internet and cable tv service, to not purchase comcast.
Pros none what so ever
Cons never works
Summary i have had comcast for a month and it has NOT worked more than two consecutive days. Technicians have been to my home six times and have replaced the modum three times. The service will work for one hour after the techn leaves, once you shut down for the night, the next day no service. Customer service is a joke. The executive office is of no help. RESEARCH OTHER OPTIONS BEFORE PURCHASING THIS INTERNET PROVIDER.
Pros attractive promos
Cons Worse customer service
Summary Comcast is an arrogant and unethical company to do business with. I don't care if they have the best internet at the best price, there's no way I'll give them my business unless they're my only option.
Please, people I urge you to not support Comcast until they stop running their customer service department like a Govt. Beauocracy from communist Russia! Heh, Commiecast.
I signed up for their 19.99 for 6 mo. high speed internet promo, because my current provider was charging me $60 / mo for slower speed.
I received my first bill from Comcast and it was actually for the 29.99 for 12 mo. promo instead. So I called up customer service to switch back to the promo I had signed up with and they told me they didn't have the codes for that promo and I needed to walk into the office to get that rate.
Deciding that that's unacceptable customer service, I promptly called back to cancel service. And then lo and behold the retension department has access to the codes! WOW OMG imagine that! But at this point, when I call to cancel it's too late, you've lost your chance, and canceled anyway. Customer service should be high quality in all departments not just RETENSION!!!
I'm not excited to go back to paying $60 / mo with the other provider but I have no choice, I refuse to do business with arrogant and unethical Comcast, as long as there's an alternative at any price.
As such, I'll be looking at DirectTV next so that I can sever all ties with Comcast.

Pros fast when up
Cons overpriced. terrible customer service. unreliable.
Summary I am paying a premium for internet (blazing fast) and getting it off and on. about 1/3 of the time,it is slower than dial-up. spent 40"
on phone and never got anyone. The local provider (south florida) is simply not capable of providing the service they are selling. For the price, abysmal. I emailed them using their site, and the page took 72 seconds to load. They
sent 2 trucks to fix the local cable, exact same problem. I would be better off climbing the pole myself. If you loved comcast as a
cable tv provider, they provide the same crappy service as an internet provider.
Pros I have not had any good experiences with Comcast.
Cons Comcast has not been able to repair service for 6 weeks now.
Summary I had Adelphia high-speed Internet in Southern CA for 5 years and never had a problem. I just moved to PA and Comcast is the only company with high-speed. Comcast is a terrible company to deal with for service problems! First, it took one month to get the service connected because of a Comcast records problem. Now, I have intermittent service (on 10 minutes and off for 5) and Comcast cannot find the problem. The tech told me today that there are 6 or 7 others in this neighborhood experiencing the same problem! The tech has been out 5 times now, and this Friday will be the sixth. The worst thing is that there is no way to escalate the problem withing Comcast! Verizon cannot provide DSL where I live or I would switch in a minute. I am seriously considering going back to dial-up, except I have VoIP at a reasonable cost with AT&T and would hate to give that up. If you have good service with Comcast you are lucky. I have heard nothing but comments on how bad their service is here in PA. I cannot give Comcast any score higher than a 1 since they have not been able to provide working service.
