"Love phone now, but had a few problems to begin with" on by dontyaknow
Pros: Nice lights, nice feel, trendy
Cons: watch for grainy track when opening
Summary: 1st phone's power shut off automatically and received a replacement the next day. While opening 2nd phone, the track was grainy. Received a 3rd phone and it's fine. Make sure the track isn't grainy..even a little bit because it gets worse. Don't let the person selling it tell you it's NOT grainy if you feel it. Just get another phone. They know there's a problem with this in this phone and they seem to try to talk you out of switching it. It doesn't have to feel like sand paper, it can have a little stickiness and it will get worse. You have 30 days to return it no problem, so do it if it's not completely smooth. Otherwise, love the phone.

"I was blinded by it's beauty!" on by JessicaP623
Pros: Excellent screen quality, sleek and sexy, slim and super-light
Cons: Call quality sucks
Summary: I fell in love with this phone based purely on looks...how shallow of me...haha. When I took it out of the box I was happy with how easy it was to figure everything out. However, it seems there are more steps involved to do even simple things than I was used to with my Motorola E-815. Texting can be a pain with this phone because of the extra steps and the small keypad. I overlooked those minor issues because I really wanted to love the phone.
Beware...talking on this phone is just about as good as using two tin cans! It's loud and tinny, and even a soft-spoken person's voice gets shot through your ear like a nail. I constantly turn the volume down mid call, but I still need to hold the phone away from my ear to avoid pain. I don't come through clear to the person on the other end, and I've lost calls in places where I never experienced that with my previous cell. It has become such an aggravation, I've actually avoided making calls on this phone all together lately.
I've had my Chocolate VX8550 over two weeks now, and it seems silly to keep a phone I like to look at, but don't want to talk on. So, I think I'll be returning it. I'm considering the LG enV for the handy qwerty keypad, but a little worried that all LG's might have a problem with sound quality?! If anyone has some insight please give me a heads up! Thanks!
