"Overall Good Camera" on by rose.johnp
Pros: Love the HUGE touch screen!
Cons: Battery and Date Stamp.
Summary: I love this camera overall. The huge touch screen is awesome, and it takes great pictures. There are 4 Cons I don't like about the camera though.
1) The Battery: is not compatible with anything. When we were over seas, the charger couldn't be used because it didn't fit into the plug. At least with my old piece of junk, I could buy new AA batteries to replace.
2) The USB port: again, not compatible with anything else. Does NOT use the standard little USB port on the camera.
3) File system: the camera has some memory on it. But, there is no way to transfer the pictures from the camera's memory to the memory stick.
4) Date Stamp: This camera does NOT have the option to put the date stamp on your pictures. That was something that is very important to us; to have the date on our pictures.
I think these are 4 simple things Sony could easly put into their camera. I know my old-slow cyber-shot camera had all 4 of those options. I rate it 7 out of 10.Updated
Yes, I like this camera, it's great. I'm sure you'll read all the great things in the other reviews. But here are a few annoying things I don't like about the camera.
1) The battery. The battery is a unique to Sony type. It can only be charged in the charger. No, it will not charge if you plug your camera into your computer. So, if you're on vacation, your battery goes dead, and you forgot the charger, too bad.
2) The cord. This is not your normal USB cord to connect your camera into your computer. So, if you happen to forget the cord in your hotel room, it's $50 to replace it. Although the cord is not necessary, it's nice to have.
3) Date stamp. This camera does not date stamp your pictures for you. IF you want a date stamp, you have to select the option on the print settings for each individual picture. Very annoying. We like to use the date stamp to remember when certian events happened according to other events.
Other then those 3 things, I like the camera. But I find those 3 things annoying enough not to buy this camera again if I had a choice. -

"Worry about touch screen" on by ryarchman
Pros: Great Body and Easy to Navigate, Very Sexy
Cons: Screen got dirty within the first 5 mins of use (I just washed my hands)
Summary: This is a fun little camera but a few features kind of boggle the mind. There's a graffiti option to note pictures, but I had trouble making any use of it. Anyone else have better luck? Seems like it needs a stylus.
Ya gotta wonder what the life of the screen is on the back of this mamajamma.
The screen was very bright and clear, but showed smudging quickly, and it will be used by 15 other co-workers.... I doubt it will preserve long with out an endless supply of screen protectors.
I didn't use it longenough on site to test the battery life, but it's a company camera and I'll write more as I use it.
Essentially though I look forward to giving it a thourough eval in the next couple months... I'll write back -
"Red-Eye SUCKS - don't buy it" on by leventp
Pros: everything but NOT red-eye
Cons: RED-Eye, absolutely HOPELESS
Summary: If you don't want to spend extra time editing your photos to remove RED-eye, don't buy this camera. I have sent SONY a complaint and its been 5 days and no word still. What a load of crap. You would have thought SONY would have mastered red-eye by now, instead they've gone back to early 35mm film days. Otherwise it would have been the best. VERY DISSAPOINTED, paid AU$627 but not worth $20 because of red-eye.
IF SOMEONE KNOWS HOW TO REDUCE, PLEASE RESPOND.
