"For the price you pay, you can't get a better tablet pc"
Pros: Never Crashes, Stylus, Keyboard, Quality, Function, Design
Cons: Pen alignment, Needs one more USB port, where's the bluetooth?
Summary: Compared to my junk Averatec Tablet PC, the gateway is a dream come true.
My only real complaint is that the mouse cursor is out of alignment with the tip of the stylus. No matter how many times I try to calibrate it, it ends up being about 5 mm to the right of the tip.
I also wish it had one more USB port but that's just me being greedy.
Speaking of greed.. .I see a bluetooth icon on the keyboard (function key). How do you turn it on? It doesn't do anything. Even the system control panel/devices say there's no BT installed. What the?
DL DVD burner, the battery acts like a grip (perfect for right handers), firewire, SD/MS card reader, great looking screen and best of all (compared to the Averatec), it doesn't burn your lap. This thing actually runs cool. And even the fan isn't quite as noisy as the Averatec.
I know some people complain the audio/mic jacks in front are troublesome. But I always use the built-in mic and speakers so no biggie.
You want to see a terrible Tablet PC? Check out the Averatec I also own. It's so bad, this is why I bought the gateway. Considering the price, this is great! There are better tablets out there but none of them at this pricepoint.
