"Piece of junk"
Pros: Looks, Instant on Arcade
Cons: Big hard drive issues
Summary: I bought this computer in April 2004, and only after one month of the purchase it crashed, and after that every 4 months the computer crashes and all my data is lost. The customer service at Acer can be characterized as rude and indifferent at the best. Customer service people will not even acknowledge that there is a problem with their product and will only call it for repair just to re-format it and send it back. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK, or else you will end up in a position like mine.

I will never purchase an other Acer in my life... did you ever see a laptop smoke? Acer tells me it's the first time they hear this!!! but it is everywhere on the web... Seeing them at Wallmart made me think again on the quality...Typical low cost junk. I will get a Dell this time... even if they have had bad batteries, they seem to be honest about there problems.

Sorry to hear you are having troubles with this computer. I have had the same one since Jan. 04 and it has worked flawlessly. Do not be discouraged by Acer, This is my 3rd one and I have only had great luck. Acer is a good bang for your buck computer company.
