"Would not recommend this system"
Pros: Speed and when not broken
Cons: Terrible support, overheats, you're on your own with problems.
Summary: I bought this system last year as a graduation present for my daughter from high school to use in college based on the editor's review. Her boyfriend melted an imprint of his hand next to the touch pad while he was gaming because it gets so hot. Then the hard drive needed to be replaced and it took numerous phone calls to ABS to finally get this done. Each phone call a rep would suggest they try something to fix the system, then refuse to stay on the line and say if it didn't fix it to call back which would then take another 2-3 days to actually get someone on the phone. This went on for over a month before they finally replaced the hard drive under warranty. Then recently the system just kept shutting down. Again, phone call after phone call to ABS with no resolution. They acually had to schedule an apointment for the tech to call them back, and then no phone call. Finally discovered that this is actually manufactured by Uniwill and presently dealing directly with them with some success. We are paying for a new motherboard because it is now out of warranty which I think is ridiculous because this is not an overused or abused computer and the motherboard with labor is costing us $400.00. I wouldn't buy this computer unless you want nothing but headaches and lack of support. Since this is a desktop replacement system, the internal components don't factor in the design of a notebook and the thing overheats constantly which kind of defeats the touted use as a gaming machine. Hardly worth the aggravation to buy this unit.Updated
We shipped out laptop out to Uniwill who tested every component of this system and still continued to get a blue screen even though everything tested out. They finally determined that the problem is the system was sold to us with a 7200 rpm hard drive and their specs for this system do not support a 7200 rpm hard drive. They said it is too fast and heats up too much for this system. I got this in writing from Uniwill along with all other test reports and forwarded them all on to ABS asking them what they're willing to do to make this right. They responded with...We don't plan on doing anything about it, we do our own R&D. My daughter has been a month without her computer not to mention the downtime with prior problems. My next step with this is the attorney general as I believe I have sufficient documentation. I would not recommend purchasing any system from ABS as they do not properly support or stand behind their products.

Please keep us informed of how this goes. I have had a very similar experience with ABS that has gone nowhere with them, and resulted in a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. We need to get the word out that this is a company to stay away from! I'm now in the market for a desktop replacement-"replacement" from another company.
