"Awsome laptop!!!"
Pros: Price, features, size, battery life, upgradeable.
Cons: Sony memory stick? Does anyone actually own these? I own all SD and mini-SD memory cards.
Summary: I have owned this laptop for 6 months. I was looking at the Sharp and Fujitsu when I bought my Sony. I picked the Sony because it was the only one that was full featured (included a built-in CD drive) and was upgradeable. The Fujitsu only came with 256mb of RAM and could not be upgraded. The other huge bonus of this laptop is it was considerably cheaper than the Fujitsu's and it came withe a built-in webcam. The Sharp was the cheapest but did not have a built-in CD drive. I came to the conclusion that this laptop was the best in the world after comparing it to the 7lbs monster IBM laptop that my work gave me to use. LOL. My 3lbs Sony doesnt need wheels to take it to the airport and the battery life is great.
My only complaint is that I had to buy an SD card reader because Sony put on a reader for their memory stick and not anyone elses.
I don't agree with the Cnet review for this simple reason. He says that the laptop is so much cheaper than other small laptops but then compares this laptop's features to laptops at a similar price. You can't do that. This laptop was $300-$500 cheaper than other laptop's of it size and could do much, much more. To accurately compare this laptop you need to either compare it to laptops of the same size or to laptops of a larger size but a lesser price ($1000 or less) because you always pay more for smaller size. When you do that comparison this laptop will always win because it is near perfect in my books. I'd rate it 9.7 but I cant so I need to round and that makes it a 10.
