"Little Speed Demon"
Pros: Quick, Light, Small, Small Screen, Great Power Management Software, Quiet Fan
Cons: Hard Drive failed
Summary: I absolutly love this computer. After shopping for notebooks for about 2 months I knew this was the one when I first saw it. I purchased it about 4 months ago. The price was perfect, and it is QUICK! I dont know why CNET has to be so negative against this notebook, I simply do not agree. You cant beat Toshiba's power management software, and the ability to control the fan speed is vital. Being a student in college there is nothing more important than being able to turn off my fan inorder to silence my notebook. Thanks to Toshiba's software I can do that. Besides this the fan itself is very quiet even when it is running at full speed. I would have given this laptop a 9 had not my hard drive failed last week. I left it on over night and woke up to find it running very slowly. The laptop was responsive however slow, so I was able to get all of my data, and even make an image of my hard drive. I fearfully called Toshiba, knowing they are said to be one of the worst customer support services in the industry, but thankfully my call was answered immediately. I was then instructed to take my laptop to a certified UPS, which they gave me the address to, where they packaged it for me and shipped it, no cost to me. To my suprise it was back in 4 days with a new hard drive running like new. I couldnt be more happy with the customer support Toshiba has given me, however I have to ask why the hard drive failed in the first place. Whatever the case I am still very satisfied with my purchase.

Hard drives fail. That is one of the major problems with lap tops. This is not Toshiba's fault totally. 4 days turn around is great. That's good service!
I have owned several Toshiba laptops and still think they're good quality.
