"An Awesome Investment!"
Pros: Operating System (Way better than Windows), Build Quality, Ease of Use, Functionality
Cons: I'm trying really hard to think of one, maybe its the lack of software that was available to me as a Windows user but honestly it doesn't really matter because this operating system is far superior.
Summary: The last time I used a Mac, I was in the 5th grade, so I had my doubts about the whole Mac thing and the "I'm a Mac and I'm a PC" ad gimmick. But I was so wrong.
The Laptop has a top notch build quality to it. The screen is brilliantly wonderful. I went with the matte LCD screen, and its awesome. It only took me a couple of hours to figure out OS X. That was my main fear (the operating system) and it quickly subsided. My skepticism quickly turned into enthusiasm. All the ports work fine and all my devices worked and were recognized quickly. Even the speakers are pretty good (considering that it's a laptop).
If you are considering making the switch from a PC to a Mac, I suggest you try one at a store first. As a student the keyboard had to be perfect and well I rate it as being second only to the venerable Thinkpad series of notebooks (and that's saying something). Everything seems to be more organized on a Mac. I still use both systems but if I had to choose one, it would definitely be Tiger. I plan to couple Vista with Leopard when Leopard comes out.
