"Asus - great lil note-taker..."
Pros: Small, lightweight, inexpensive.
Cons: Cramped keyboard, smallish 800x480 screen.
Summary: If you're a "power user", the Asus eee is not for you. It's a bit pokey, the keyboard is cramped, and the screen is small... ... but if you need portability at a low price, it's fantastic. Great machine!
I already have a laptop, but it's big and clunky. I wanted something very small, light, and convenient, and that's the eee. Less than two pounds, fits in a pouch in my knapsack, has wireless internet, a real keyboard... what's not to like?
This is a great little machine for someone who wants a very portable, small laptop capable of Internet, note-taking, email, etc. I would give it a 4 / 5 - but for only $299, it's really a 5 star machine!
