"As a new mac user I would highly recommend this macbook"
Pros: Core 2 Duo @ 2.4GHz and 2GB RAM makes for great multitasking with only minor slow downs when using programs like logic, or final cut. OS 10.5 Leopard is a very stable OS, however Windows Vista & XP both run smooth with boot camp and vm ware.
Cons: Runs slightly warmer than some other notebooks in its class. White glossy plastic tends to show scuffs and scratches. Also my macbooks plastic bottom was slightly warped from the day I purchased it.
Summary: Apple never really appealed to me over the years. I am 22 and since I can remember I have been using a PC with Windows software. By no means will I be "that guy" and say that OS X is superior to Windows however, I will say that since I switched to Leopard I have almost forgotten what a virus is and I have only had to Force Quit an application three times since I purchased my macbook. Now I understand that every experience will differ between users (which is why this is a review based on my opinion only), but I am a strong believer in using whatever software that is required to complete my task. And being both an iPod and yes... a Zune user, I do use Windows XP through VM Ware to run Zune software. So I will sum everything up like this, don't knock Apple until you have used its products. OS X and Windows are both great operating systems and this notebook and any of Apple's computers are worth your consideration.

Thank you for not being a mac or a pc fanatic, and giving an honest review. It is definitely a first.
