"Acer Nightmare"
Pros: Screen; Blu-Ray
Cons: No Bluetooth!!!!
Summary: FALSE ADVERTISING!!! Another reviewer had the same problem here. I bought this unit ($1,500) based on the Acer website specs for the unit which includes, among other things, Bluetooth. Guess what? The website lied, there is no Bluetooth. I called and wrote Acer and all I got back was "we apologize for the inconvenience but we are not responsible for the information on our website" - ???!!!??
Are you kidding me? If we can't use the manufacturers own website to get accurate information about their products, where can we go? Even here on CNET they were given the false information. Bluetooth was a major reason I bought the unit. As I write this - one month after initially talking to Acer - the false information remains on their website!! Avoid Acer, they have ZERO customer accountability and now I'm stuck with this thing.

I can see why your so upset. If you'd like to sell the 6920-6048 I might be interested. Bluetooth isnt that big of a deal for me. Maybe we can both be happy in the end.slvranger01@yahoo.com

Find the Attorney General of California, or see if they have an Ombudsman or some sort of consumer relations. If you have screen shots you can send of both Acer and other company's misinformation. Complain. That is false advertising and the consumer must have some legal recourse. There have to be laws against misrepresenting your product.
Clerks who deal with complaints are told what to say. If you don't lose your cool and ask to speak to their boss and say you believe that there are laws that address misrepresenting your product, in a polite way, he/she may be able to help you.
NEVER, never start off a reasonable request to a company as a screaming banshee and never take the first answer you get on the phone as the final answer. Even if you had to write/email the president of a company, what's fair is fair and they definitely are in the wrong here. It was probably a mistake, but you should not be paying for their mistake.
Tel them who you spoke to and when, if you can.
