"Just upgraded my VAIO TX27"
Pros: In tis range there is nothing that comes close to this machine.
Cons: its too expensive!
Summary: I remember seeing Steve Jobs give a comparison between the MacBook Air and the predecessor to this machine - the Vaio TZ. He gave a great comparison - he basically proved the TZ was the machine to beat and that he didnt beat it!! This machine is the next step above. Its not great performace-wise but then you probably dont buy this to work on the theory of relativity - I am writing a book, surfing the net and doing presenatations and its brilliant for all of that. Netbooks are a poor alternative - why go for one of those if you want one of these. This is now the fourth Vaio I have owned and with the exception of 1 losing its battery charging ability (it was an AR11 that sat on a desk all day so it didn't matter too much) these have been the most reliable machines I have ever used.
