"Awesome MAC speakers"
Pros: Great fidelity, digital quality, uses USB and leaves the headphone port free
Cons: No volume Adjustment or Line out
Summary: First off, I'd actually only rate these speakers a 9/10 but there were a few comments on their quality which were very biased and frankly, incorrect.
That out of the way, I've had these speakers for the last 2 years and to say that I am very impressed would be an understatement. I work in a digital audio lab for an independent film company in Toronto, Canada. Although I personally own a full 7.1 Dolby Digital set at home, I'd never consider using anything but the Soundsticks for digital audio-proofing. I love the USB interface and how it prevents even the slightest bit of signal loss, and actually find leaving the stereo mini-jack free a blessing (I use it if I need to test headphone dynamics in real time).
Having said that, these speakers perform abysmally on a PC based machine, for reasons unknown to me.
Great Fidelity
Great low, mid and high range tones
(now) Great price
A+
