"Decent computer speakers...great for Macheads."
Pros: Nice design...obviously. Very inexpensive. Decent sound...afterall, they're computer speakers.
Cons: These cannot in even the slightest be compared to audiophile-grade speakers...that rumor must have been started by some young 'un who really wanted to believe this was true. Anyway, don't expect superb sound...or excellent sound...or even good sound. Ex

Alright, First of all, I'd like to say that I have both a Dual G5 and an AMD x2 4400 system going. For some reason, when using these speakers on both PC and Mac, there is quite a difference in sound quality. On the PC, these speakers do not work as well, or as loud and appear to garble very high and low frequencies. The HK Sound Sticks 1 were made for mac, and Harmon Kardon has made no claims that they work on a PC at all. I might be wrong about this, but it appears that you are a PC user (the striking connotations behind the word Machead gave it away). I will agree that in my field of work, I wouldn't use these to reproduce digital audio from a windows computer, but their high levels of fidelity on a mac are noteworthy. I hope my experiences with these speakers help clarify that they're NOT made for Windows use!
